• Welcome to Runkle Extended Day!

  • Our mission is to provide children in kindergarten through fifth grade a safe, nurturing, supervised, and stimulating environment that offers diverse opportunities for enrichment while ensuring a sense of security and consistency.

Our program is broken down into three age-appropriate groupings:

  • In each group, students are offered a variety of hands-on projects and small group activities. Our teachers facilitate and encourage children to explore interests, make smart choices, and learn effective methods of conflict resolution.

Our daily schedule for each group is broken down as follows:

    2:30-3pm

    • Attendance, quiet games, and/or homework time

    3-4pm

    • 1st Block: Students can choose from a variety of activities– such as STEM, arts & crafts, sports, drama games, active games, outside time, or free play

    4-4:30pm

    • Snack: Students bring in their own snack from home

    4:30-5:30pm

    • 2nd Block: Another round of choices

    5:30-6:00pm

    • Cafeteria time: Pick up time in the cafeteria with quiet games for all 3 groups. We close promptly at 6pm.
