What a wonderful first week of R.E.D! This week we welcomed back new and returning Honeybees. Our first graders learned about what it means to be a “Role Model”. They reflected on their first year of R.E.D and brainstormed ways they could make the Kindergarten class feel welcomed and excited for this new journey. We learned about expectations and practiced following the extended day routine. We are so proud of how quickly the Honeybees have adapted to this program! It’s been so great to watch new friendships be formed, old friends reuniting and laughs being shared.
The Honeybees showed great sportsmanship this week playing soccer and “Everybody’s it Tag”. We blew gigantic bubbles outside and soaked up the sun on the small playground. We can’t wait for next week as we dive into learning more games and creating arts and crafts. This has been a fantastic first week and we’re looking forward to more fun days in the future!
