Hello Cricket families, and welcome back...

September 17, 2018
  • Hello Cricket families, and welcome back for another enriching year of RED. We are thrilled to see our now third graders rising to the challenge of being the oldest in the bunch, and we welcome our incoming second grade class!

The Cricket team, Briana, Juliet, Brian, and Julia have connected with many parents and we hope to continue to meet all of you at pickup time. Please don’t hesitate to say hello and ask us any questions. This week we learned the ropes, established routines, and set expectations for great behavior. So far the group has really impressed us!

Some routines may be new to your Cricket student, especially our second graders, such as the attendance bracelets. Students should be dropping their bracelets into the bin near the sign out book before they leave. If any bracelets end up at home, please have your Cricket bring them back ASAP.

Below are some photos from the week, including activities such as “Pirates of the Caribbean” in the gym, team building in the multi purpose room, painted rocks, and magnetic locker decorations. Students also played new and familiar games in the cafeteria, enjoyed (mostly) wonderful weather out on the playground and field, and made personalized journals to keep their RED drawings in.
We are very happy to get to know your kids and learn more about their strengths and interests. We look forward to a wonderful year!

Sincerely, Juliet, Brian, Briana, and Julia
The Dragonflies played a really fun board game called Mysterium…This week the Honeybees got to know each other better…
