Fundamentals in our RED sports clinic...

  • Dragonflies learned how to make newspaper “flibbers,” which were perfect for cheering on the teams in the RED basketball tournament this week. We worked some more on sets and props for the play, including making a hand-painted turtle shell for one of the characters. Some of us decorated wooden photo holders for displaying our favorite pictures. Cut-and-fold kirigami animals continue to be a favorite art activity among the Dragonflies. This week we added hippos, rhinos, zebras, crabs, and dragons to our growing menagerie.
     
    Honeybees, Crickets, and Dragonflies alike created colorful crowns from cardboard tubes and Washi tape at RED camp. Then we had a blast in the Multi racing through a balloon bash obstacle course! Dragonflies combined with the Honeybees to help teach them some fundamentals in our RED sports clinic. An exciting game of Construction/Destruction with boxes and bocci balls, building paper plate icosahedrons, and painting beautiful fractured watercolors. We had a great week last week at RED Camp! In the art room, we worked on a variety of paper plate creations including adorable “rocking rabbits,” and amazing geometric icosahedrons.
