Happy Friday Cricket Families!
We had a wonderful second week. After a full week of introductions, establishing expectations, and practicing our daily routines, we were able to introduce some exciting organized activities this week.
On the creative side, we made friendship bracelets, mini journals, pipe cleaner rings, chalk paint, and locker decor. We also introduced our weekly (optional) drawing competition. This week’s prompt was: draw your name in a creative way! Other popular activities/games in the caf this week included, Quix, Sleeping Queens, Oh Bother, and Sushi Go.
Outside, we continued having fun on the structure. We played an extreme game of The Floor is Lava and Beth introduced the second graders to a Cricket favorite: the monkey bar dangle off! We also began playing organized sports on the field with classics like kickball and football.
